Personalized Instruction by a Caring Professional
Pat teaches all of the classes herself-no helpers or assistants, so that you get continuity and individualized attention. She has 40 years of experience and is right there to help you and your dog. The latest equipment and methods are used. You are given her home telephone number and are encouraged to call if you are uncertain about any part of the homework or have other questions. Even after you graduate, help is gladly given for any issues.
Teaching Owners to Train and Control Puppies/Dogs
All breeds are accepted and all problems are addressed. Classes start twice a month and only seven or eight dogs and handlers are in each group. The training is done indoors with comfortable conditions for humans and canines. Pat uses her own special five session program (nine hours of instruction), so you come once a week, usually either Monday or Tuesday evenings. The first meeting is an orientation without the dog; you are given lots of insight about dog behavior and tips and suggestions that you can start to use immediately. A booklet is provided that recaps the information presented. You also get written homework handouts after each session. If you practice and follow the guidelines that Pat provides, your pet can be a different dog in a short time!!
IN THE PASSIONATE PURSUIT OF BETTER PUPPIES AND DOGS!
Pat is a founding member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. There is a conference and a trade show each year that keeps instructors advised of pertinent topics and possible solutions. Currently owning six house dogs that also compete in performance activities, she keeps abreast of the latest techniques.
